Possession in Death, by J. D. Robb

A long short story that Robb wrote for a collection about the afterlife.  Eve Dallas is possessed by a murdered gypsy woman who can see and talk to the dead.  The old woman was trying to find her missing great-granddaughter, and Dallas must finish her search while solving the murder.  The novella is remarkably similar to the other books in the series, in spite of Dallas's new ability to see dead people, the new tattoo, and the creepy feelings she gets while looking at photos of the great-granddaughter.  Shrug.
