The Broken Places, by Ace Atkins

I enjoy both the good guys and the bad guys in the Quinn Colson series, and all the family drama added by Colson's sister and mother.  In this book, Colson is worried about his sister's increasingly close relationship with Jimmy Dixon, a pardoned convict-minister who is starting a new church in Jericho for people looking for redemption. Unfortunately, some very unsavory people have broken out of prison looking for Dixon, and the money he may or may not have recovered from a robbery these fugitives from justice committed.  Nasty old Johnny Stagg is up to his neck in everything bad in Tibbehah County, just as you'd expect.
