Dick Henry helps people attain their goals via not necessarily legal shortcuts, hence, The Shortcut Man. He's helping Judge Glidden keep a painting that his wife was awarded in the divorce, he's helping his old flame Nedra save her family home from developers, and he's helping his friend Pussy Grace find out what happened to her boyfriend Art Lewis. At the same time, lots of folks want to kill or dissuade him. It's funny, cleverly plotted, and quick paced.
