Not really a novel, maybe a set of short stories interwoven, maybe the writings the tv show has grown from. In any case, for me, as a fan of the cable show
Justified, all of this seemed quite familiar. The characters exist precisely as on screen, perhaps with even less depth rather than more. A couple of the plots were also television plots. Still it kept me company as I drove and the reader,
Brian D'Arcy James, was quite good.
