Heat Wave and Naked Heat, by Richard Castle

There was something enjoyable about listening to Heat Wave while imaging it as the creation of a TV character.  I should probably have stopped there, as both Heat Wave and Naked Heat are pretty bad mysteries.  The writing is workmanlike, the mysteries so-so, the superwoman character of Nikki Heat implausible.  Once the cleverness of the idea wore off, the books were just company driving.  Not in love with Johnny Heller as a reader, at least not of this series.
