What the Lady Wants, by Jennifer Crusie

Crusie writes the perfect novel for a cold-fogged weekend.  Funny, sexy, engaging, not too hard to follow, with the theme of everybody lies.  Mae Sullivan hires Mitch Peatwick to investigate her uncle's murder, but in fact, she wants him to locate the diary that might tell what happened to her trust fund.  Mitch the PI is really Mitchell Kincaid the stockbroker, fulfilling a fantasy.  Uncles Gio and Claud are wreaking havoc behind the scenes.
