The Secret Life of Violet Grant, by Beatriz Williams
Another of those books that take place to two time frames. In 1964, Vivian Schuyler learns about her black sheep Aunt Violet, her life as a scientist in 1914 Europe, and her mysterious disappearance on the eve of World War I.
