The Drafter, by Kim Harrison

Drafters are those rare individuals who can mess with time, at the price of their own memories.  As such they are pretty useful to governments and NGOs, good guys and bad guys.  Peri Reed is one of the best, but she is beginning to lose track of just about everything.  The book didn't work for me. Not as imaginative as the Rachel Morgan series, not as tightly structured or as faithful to its own internal logic.
