Lovers at the Chameleon Club, Paris 1932, by Francine Prose
Fascinating novel, based on three historical figures: Violette Morris, a racecar driver turned Gestapo torturer, Henry Miller, and photographer Brassai. Each plays a part in this treatise on art, sexuality, monstrosity, and friendship.
