Bookseller, Monsieur Perdu, mends broken hearts through the right prescription of a book. Reading a letter from the love of his life causes him to launch his bookstore-barge down the Seine from Paris to the south of France in the company of Max, a blocked writer.  The book is full of musings and conversations, food and wine, regret and hope.
