Off the Grid, by P. J. Tracy

Not really the best of their books, but it certainly sets up the next book to be something really special.  The premise was interesting.  Terrorists plan to use the flash mob approach to the creation of mayhem. Ex-FBI agent John Smith was able to identify several cells based on their internet chatter and notified local authorities.  These alerts were intercepted by unknown players who took things into their own hands and killed the cell members.  And John Smith, Grace McBride and the other members of the Monkeewrench team end up targets of the jihadists, while Leo Magozzi and Gino Rolseth try to solve the Minneapolis-based killings.

  1. I loved Monkeewrench but haven't been enthralled with subsequent books by Tracy. Maybe it's because I really liked the Monkeewrench gang and they don't feature prominently in the rest of the series.
