The third in Loomis's entertaining series featuring Frank Coffin, now acting police chief in Provincetown, Mass. The town is plagued by an arsonist, whose fires are increasingly damaging and dangerous. Frank is also dealing with a seal massacre, a pregnant girlfriend, and a deputy who thinks he's been abducted by aliens. Frank is not in a good way.
Entertaining. I liked the various story lines that go from serious (arson, Alzheimer's and animal massacre) to fun (the idea that someone would keep a couple of generations of seals, and UFO's and alien abductions are always fun, unless of course you're the one being beamed up!).
