Harris is a great story teller, and in this part of the tale of Sookie Stackhouse, lots of mundane and supernatural events take place and plenty of humor bubbles up. The cover blurb says the book revolves around a woman who turns up dead on Eric Northman's lawn, and in trying to solve the crime, Sookie discovers a ruthless and sneaky enemy she never knew she had. Let's just call it that.
