The Custom of the Army, by Diana Gabaldon

Shaula suggested that I read this little novella as it provides some background information on Charlie Carruthers, Siverly and events alluded to in The Scottish Prisoner.  It's a good telling of the story of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham from the British perspective.  Now I need to go back to Louise Penny's A Trick of the Light, and see how Gabaldon's version matches with the Canadian telling.
