Colfer has done such fine work with the Artemis Fowl books. They are funny, mildly thrilling, inventive, and increasingly heart-warming. In this book, a lost colony of demons is in danger, and Artemis, Holly, Butler, Mulch, and Foaly with a couple of demon warlocks are drawn into the rescue. The demon warlock Number 1 is a sweetheart, and even the next to the baddest of the bad guys has a sad backstory. Nathaniel Parker does an amazing job with the reading.
