Fforde is such a smart and funny guy. In this book, Thursday Next has gone missing, and the written Thursday Next sets off with her robotic butler Sprockett on a series of adventures in the real world and within various genres to find her. The parts about the Thursday Next series losing readers were sad, and the discerned differences between the Real World and BookWorld were clever. The book is so dense, I needed to listen a couple of times to large portions. A moment's inattention caused me to be a little lost for the whole first disc.
