This was the 5th Wyatt novel. Wyatt creates a storm of trouble for himself and everyone else when he robs a politician on the take and puts an already once stolen Tiffany pin on the market. Once again, Disher creates a world where nearly everyone is a bad guy, whether he or she is a police officer, judge, politician, blueprinter or thief. There is one good cop, Liz Redding, who is fighting a losing battle against corruption in the squad and is somewhat taken with Wyatt, as he is with her.
