Heads You Lose, by Lisa Lutz and David Hayward

Funny, funny book.  Lisa Lutz and her former boyfriend David Hayward ostensibly write alternating chapters of this mystery, with correspondence between the two about the direction the book is heading (or should be heading) separating each chapter.  At first the bickering takes place in footnotes and the correspondence, but later the story becomes the battlefield for the two.  After establishing the co-authorship ground rules, the book begins with two pot-growing siblings finding a headless corpse at their front door, and meanders through several more deaths (and one resurrection).  So very clever.
