Dead Copy, by Kit Frazier

This is the story of Cauley MacKinnon, an obituary writer in Austin with aspirations of being a real journalist.  Frankly, it's not very good.  The story corkscrewed around with attractive men and talented dogs at every twist, but ultimately didn't make a great deal of sense.

  1. All true. But Cauley does have a wonderful loaner search and rescue dog, Marlowe, and a sense of humor. And after just having finished true crime book on the Casey Anthony trial written by the defense, I needed a laugh.
